Limelight, the sustainable workshop specialized in upcycling and transforming used wine bottles.

Limelight is the first local workshop which converts used wine bottles into glasses, vases, candles and other design creations. Limelight works in accordance with sustainable development, environmental responsibility and circular economy principles. Doing so, they give a new life to bottles which would have been sent to trash.

By choosing upcycling, they support the reuse of glass and give it a second life, full of creativity. Unlike glass recycling, their transformation process uses water, essentially recovered rain water, partly in closed circuit in order to reduce their water consumption and to limit their environmental footprint. They collect bottles from local bars and restaurants, within a 5km radius around the workshop, which is located in Heisdorf.

Their creations are fully manually crafted and designed with passion and the greatest care. The transformation process starts with the manual label removal from the wine bottles, one by one. Then each object is carefully and precisely cut, before they enter the honing and and polishing phases of the cutting edges. All the creations are finally engraved with their monogram, before they are beautifully wrapped and sent to their recipient. At Limelight, they believe in the beauty of transformation and reuse.
