Sustained.lu: the charity which gives a second life to your old materials

Moien, Salut, Hallo, Hello, Ciao, Olá !

Discover Sustained.lu asbl, an initiative created in January, 2017. Their passion is upcycling: make new using old. With this purpose, they recover used and useless materials like old skateboards, advertising banners, old jeans and clothes, bike inner tubes, wooden pallets... to recreate decoration items, bags, daily use objects, jewellery, art, etc.

Everything is made in Luxemburg by the members of the charity, and is sold on local markets or events. Don't hesitate to talk to them if you see them around!

How can you support Sustained.lu?

Any help or support of any kind is highly welcome and appreciated! There are many ways to support the charity:

  • > By making donations, on their bank account (IBAN: LU91 0019 5755 8328 1000)
  • > By becoming a volunteer member (active or not) of the charity (a yearly fee is required)
  • > By giving them your materials, items or objects that are used, broken, unusable which they can use for their upcycling creations

Adopt the '5R groove': Reduce, Repair, Reuse, Recycle, Reinvent!

The charity needs materials that you may have at home! Instead of throwing (or storing) them, keep the items from the following list to bring them to the Sustained.lu team. Their creativity will transform these into original and useful objects!

  • > Bike inner tube
  • > Bike tires
  • > Bike parts
  • > Used skateboards and longboards
  • > Wine boxes
  • > Bottle caps
  • > Wine bottle corks
  • > Cuttlery
  • > Screws, nails and other iron hardware
  • > Old clothes
  • > Old bags (backpacks, handbags, ...)
  • > Etc...

Don't hesitate to contact them to schedule an appointment and drop all of this to them!
